GLC Paints, Saudi Arabia's top art paint brand, founded by Abdel Fattah Ibrahim El Hout. In 1979, they opened their first factory in the Arabian Gulf, and in 1991, to consolidate and expand operations in the Middle East, they opened a new factory in Lebanon. In 1994, it entered the African continent through the Egyptian market and set up its first factory in Cairo in 1997. As a mature supplier of art Paints, GLC Paints is determined to grow into one of the largest building paint factories in the Middle East and even Africa.

2022 Color Piazza是GLC Paints于開羅推出得新得涂料展廳項目,由GLC Paints攜手埃及建筑師兼藝術(shù)家Emy Hussein、Karim Mekhtigian及Badie Architects展開得一場具有視覺震撼力體驗得“涂料運動”。

2022 Color Piazza is the new paint showroom project launched in Cairo by GLC Paints, A visually stunning "paint movement" launched by GLC Paints in collaboration with Egyptian Architects and artists Emy Hussein, Karim Mekhtigian and Badie Architects.

無限得自我表達

Emy Hussein善長通過藝術(shù)得形式探索無限得自我表達,模糊藝術(shù)、建筑和室內(nèi)之間得彼此微妙界限,使涂料肌理淋漓盡致得體現(xiàn)于展廳之中。而空間作為產(chǎn)品得載體,主體地位得涂料需要表現(xiàn)和被表現(xiàn)得可能。在展廳得空間設計上,Emy Hussein試圖創(chuàng)造一種新得建筑形式和空間體量,在既有形式中尋求無形式得表達,從而具有無限性、永續(xù)性。

Emy Hussein explores the infinite self expression through art, blurring the delicate boundaries between art, architecture and interior, and allowing the paint texture to be fully embodied in the exhibition hall. And space as the carrier of the product, the main position of the coating needs to show and be expressed. For the exhibition space, Emy Hussein sought to create a new form and volume, seeking to express the formlessness of the existing form in order to achieve infinity and sustainability.

立足于當下,超越當下

所謂得精神之路,既立足于當下,又超越當下,進而步入自然與原始得無形之中。GLC Paints得創(chuàng)始人Mohamed Amin Elhout將他得愿景,托付給這位亞美尼亞裔著名得藝術(shù)家及建筑師、有著“煉金術(shù)士”稱呼得Karim Mekhtigian,與他一起穿越時空,憑借相互默契地配合、可以水準得體現(xiàn)和對內(nèi)在事物聯(lián)系得遠見卓識,使展廳得設計概念最終完美地落地。

The spiritual path is based on the present moment, beyond the present moment, and then into the nature and the original intangible. The founder of GLC Paints, Mohamed Amin Elhout, entrusted his vision to the armenian-born artist and architect Karim Mekhtigian, known as the "alchemist," to travel through time with him, With the tacit cooperation, professional standards and internal things of the embodiment of the visionary, so that the design concept of the exhibition hall finally perfect landing.

GLC Paints x Badie Architects

重塑自己

“不斷重塑自己,以獲得獨特、誠實和通透得社會體驗。”這是埃及建筑師Mohamed Badie概括性得社會實踐總結(jié)。此次得展廳設計,是表現(xiàn)主義得另一種詮釋,設計靈感于日常生活得積累,因而可滿足絕大多數(shù)人得情感需求。Badie Architects得目標在于打破常規(guī)范式得同時,重新定義空間體驗和觀眾行為。

"Constantly reinvent yourself for a unique, honest and transparent social experience." This is a summary of Egyptian architect Mohamed Badie's social practice. This exhibition hall design, is another interpretation of expressionism, design inspiration comes from the accumulation of daily life, so it can meet the emotional needs of the vast majority of people. Badie Architects aims to redefine spatial experience and viewer behaviour while breaking the conventional paradigm.

GLC Paints x Ebtissam

新藝術(shù),擁抱自然之美

埃及建筑事務所ENCODE得創(chuàng)始人Ebtissam Mohamed Farid在2022 Color Piazza得展廳設計中,打造了一個平靜、神秘得空間,試圖憑借“新藝術(shù)”為文化載體去擁抱自然之美。于是,她加入了伊斯蘭文化得幾何圖案,而這不僅僅只是單一得藝術(shù)表現(xiàn),更是中東文化遺產(chǎn)得創(chuàng)新和傳承,將建筑與藝術(shù)相結(jié)合,把風格得主要特征、關(guān)系和比例作為研究得對象,從而創(chuàng)造出具有明顯在地文化性得獨特作品。

Ebtissam Mohamed Farid, founder of Egyptian architecture firm ENCODE, has created a calm, mysterious space for the 2022 Color Piazza showroom, which seeks to embrace the beauty of nature with "art Nouveau" as a cultural vehicle. Therefore, she added the geometric pattern of Islamic culture, which is not only a single artistic expression, but also the innovation and inheritance of the Cultural heritage of the Middle East. She combined architecture with art, and took the main characteristics, relations and proportions of style as the research object, so as to create a unique work with obvious local culture.
